To support that challenge, Syngenta’s Commercial team is currently seeking a Data Compensation and Lifecycle Management Lead in Greensboro, NC.
The Data Compensation and Lifecycle Management Lead will be responsible for excellence in the support of the Post Patent Strategy (PPS) Manager, Head of Crop Protection (CP) Product Life Cycle Management and Crop Protection Marketing Team in the development and implementation of Life Cycle Management strategies, tactics and actions ensuring effective communication of critical needs and timing across product and Customer Marketing Teams.
Accountabilities
- Collect, organize and assemble study justification documentation from Regulatory files for use in Data Compensation settlements
- Build Data Compensation claim calculators using Regulatory Correspondence Files and Product Safety Study cost records to determine data value to support settlement negotiations and/or arbitrations
- Support Post-Patent Strategy Manager on End-to-End management of Data Compensation settlement activities including but not limited to; establishing compensability of Syngenta data submissions through regulatory correspondence files, documenting compensable study costs via R&D accounting system(s) and files, building claim calculators, initiating the Non-Disclosure Agreements between the parties, invoicing of data compensation settlement amounts and monitoring of payment collections with the Finance Business Partner
- Support the Post-Patent Strategy Manager and Data Compensation Lead and lead as appropriate, development, refinement and execution of Data Compensation strategies to protect the value of Syngenta data, Intellectual Property and other assets
- Support the Post-Patent Strategy Manager and Data Compensation Lead with key activities, including but not limited to; drafting settlement agreements, collecting arbitration documents (working with Outside Counsel on document preparation), participate in the Global Monthly Business review sessions and coordinate with Canadian Business Strategy & Development Team and other business functions as necessary
- Learn and support all Data Mining processes through the use of available resources, e.g. Panjiva and EPA websites to monitor and communicate import and competitor regulatory information in a timely manner to the appropriate stakeholders as well as managing day-to-day activities of one to two contract employees
- Manage Data Call-In cost sharing agreements with 3rd Parties ensuring their development, review and execution with Legal and Regulatory Business Partner(s) is complete, including invoicing and monitoring of payment collections with the Finance Business Partner
- Support the Product Lifecycle Management Lead in specific customer related activities; e.g. customer data analytics in preparation for 3rd Party business meetings / interactions, assume account lead for certain 3rd Party non-branded selling activities, developing competitive profiles
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree (preferably in a science, business, regulatory and/or agriculture discipline)
- Experience with monitoring and/or extracting and presenting data from external data sources and their operation
- Experience in US EPA regulatory approval processes, product safety data collection and reporting
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from Syngenta
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Data Compensation
- Proficiency in FIFRA and Ag Industry Regulatory Process
- Experience in Documenting Data Costing for Compensable Studies
- Experience in the operation of common business platforms including SAP, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and document retention and reporting repositories to access key data related to data compensability
