What You Will Do
Test moderately complex prototype electrical assemblies and verify compliance to workmanship standards
Interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications.
Adapt methods and procedures to test, analyze, and troubleshoot new hardware.
Assist in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate engineering design specifications in development of producible prototypes.
Document and communicate test discrepancies and workmanship concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements.
Qualifications You Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in an engineering environment
Experience testing electrical assemblies in three or more of the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes, chassis, circuit card modifications, and racked electronic equipment
Previous work experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Associates degree in related field; OR military electronics or avionics training, OR vocational or college program certificateExperience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings to identify producibility issues
Effective interpersonal skills in order to develop report and build positive relationships with both internal and external customers
Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe software, including 3D-PDFs
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize work, understanding of schedule and budgets
J-STD-001 Solder certification
IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and fabrication or test experience.
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
