What You Will Do

• Test moderately complex prototype electrical assemblies and verify compliance to workmanship standards

• Interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and specifications.

• Adapt methods and procedures to test, analyze, and troubleshoot new hardware.

• Assist in electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate engineering design specifications in development of producible prototypes.

• Document and communicate test discrepancies and workmanship concerns to customers and collaborate on design improvements.

 Qualifications You Must Have

• High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in an engineering environment

• Experience testing electrical assemblies in three or more of the following areas: cables or wire harnesses, breakout boxes, chassis, circuit card modifications, and racked electronic equipment

• Previous work experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Associates degree in related field; OR military electronics or avionics training, OR vocational or college program certificateExperience analyzing and interpreting schematics and drawings to identify producibility issues

• Effective interpersonal skills in order to develop report and build positive relationships with both internal and external customers

• Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe software, including 3D-PDFs

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to prioritize work, understanding of schedule and budgets

• J-STD-001 Solder certification

• IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and fabrication or test experience.

• American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
