About the role

This position is a member of the Development Services team, focusing on managing and optimizing data processes and systems to support the University Development initiatives. This role requires analytical thinking, discretion, and judgment regarding data, systems, and digital solutions. This position works with various teams to manage data imports, clean data, and enhance system workflows. Skill levels should demonstrate the ability to understand databases and information systems and display an aptitude for data analysis.

Salary

  • $60,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience

Primary Duties

  • Administer the CRM and integrated applications (modules and external platforms), ensuring the system is configured to meet the university’s needs.

  • Perform regular maintenance, manage user roles, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Oversee the import, cleaning, and maintenance of constituent and transactional data within the CRM, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.

  • Conduct regular reviews of business processes, collaborate with internal teams to define requirements, and implement improvements.

  • Analyze constituent and fundraising data to generate insights and develop custom reports and dashboards for leadership.

  • Act as the liaison between technical teams and business users, ensuring clear communication of data and reporting needs.

  • Provide staff with training and support on data entry best practices, report generation, and system navigation to ensure adequate system use.

  • Attention to detail is not just a requirement but a critical aspect in this position.

  • Computer Skills, including advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, MS Teams, and Zoom. 

  • Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience with database management and SQL queries.

  • Experience with data import tools.

  • Knowledge of CRM or ERP systems.

  • Experience with reporting tools.

  • Experienced with word processing, spreadsheets, and business office tools such as MS Office Suite.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a member of the team.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Business process improvement skills.

  • Ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master’s degree.

  • Two (2) years of experience working with constituent data such as donor information and alums records in a higher education setting or five (5) years of experience working with large datasets.

  • Knowledge of popular CRM such as Blackbaud, Salesforce, and Ellucian.
