Senior DevOps Specialist

<p>The DevOps team is responsible for contributing to and reusing a set of standards-based DevOps patterns within a shared DevOps culture that will enable the Developers they partner with to accelerate the time-to-market of critical software applications to the Cloud and on-prem.</p><p>This is an opportunity to collaborate locally and across the globe with highly motivated and knowledgeable Architecture, Application Delivery Engineers,</p><p>Site Reliability Engineers, and Developers in our effort to continually improve the DevOps capabilities.</p><p>Our Lead DevOps at LSEG are responsible for ensuring the global availability of our analytics application and services. We place a high degree of trust and responsibility in the hands of our DevOps. The work is 80% in the public cloud (AWS/Azure), and 20% on Prem.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software system requirements and objectives.</p></li><li><p>Design, develop, and maintain software applications infrastructures, focusing on scalability, reliability, automation, and performance.</p></li><li><p>Develop, Implement, and maintain DevOps practices, including continuous integration, deployment, and automated testing.</p></li><li><p>Providing technical support to Operations or other development teams.</p></li><li><p>Manage software configuration, deployment, and release processes.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and optimize cloud costs.</p></li><li><p>Monitor and maintain applications security profile.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Candidate Profile / Key Skills:</span></b><b> </b></p><ul><li><p>2+ years of professional experience in DevOps practices and Cloud</p></li><li><p>Knowledge/experience of Azure or AWS Cloud Technologies (AKS, ACR, Azure Functions, Azure Web App etc.).</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge of IaC and related technologies such as Terraform</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with Version Control Tools and CI/CD Tools (Git, GitLab) and related concepts such as branching/versioning strategies etc.</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience in developing CICD workflows/pipelines.</p></li><li><p>Docker, containerisation and related orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes</p></li><li><p>Positive demeanour about learning new skills and technologies.</p></li><li><p>Dedicated, goal-oriented teammate with good interpersonal skills.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work in highly agile, Sprint-based team environment.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Bonus</p><ul><li><p>Intimate knowledge of Linux environments, including system administration, networking, IAM, and well-developed problem solving skills.</p></li><li><p>Good knowledge with implementing security standards inside the CI/CD pipelines (Sonarqube, Semgrep etc.)</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education/ Certifications: </b></p><ul><li><p>A relevant degree or equivalent experience is desirable, but the right approach to work are just as important.</p></li><li><p>AWS/Azure certification a nice to have.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Benefits</b>:</p><p></p><p>We are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios!
