POSITION SUMMARY:
The FP&A Analyst will have a leading role in Financial Planning and Analysis processes. This role is responsible for the accurate completion of monthly, annual and long-term forecasting to ensure cost effective operations within the guidelines set by LPA. This role will complete analysis of current data and provide recommendations for improvements. They will assist in the completion of relevant Business Plans and audit the effectiveness of actual performance. This role will be responsible for ensuring the use of streamlined modeling in coherence with global standardization. This role will often be called upon to present relevant data & summaries to functional areas throughout the organization to help explain results, changes, and impacts on potential scenarios.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for planning, analysis and reporting at a corporate level to drive optimization.
Performs several key tasks during the monthly planning cycle in the areas of variance explanations for both the income statement and balance sheet
Drive cost reduction and profit enhancement via analysis and related recommendations for the business.
Support global FP&A with ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Ensuring that data provided by other groups is validated and vetted prior to inclusion in planning.
Educate and train others on FP&A.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, CERTIFICATIONS:
Post-secondary degree from an accredited University in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; Professional certification and/or MBA preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of financial planning and analysis experie
