Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FPGA Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FPGA design and development, along with a passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing FPGA-based designs in Surgical Robotics space.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement FPGA architectures and algorithms.
Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware and software engineers to integrate FPGA designs.
Conduct simulations and performance analysis to verify design functionality and optimize performance.
Troubleshoot and debug complex FPGA designs in both simulation and physical hardware.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering field.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in FPGA design and development.
Proficient in VHDL and/or Verilog, with experience in Xilinx Vivado.
Strong understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) and high-speed digital design principles.
Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ModelSim, Vivado Simulator, QuestaSim) and hardware debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
Familiarity with embedded systems and software development (C/C++ and/or Python experience is a plus).
Excellent problem-solving skills, great aptitude for analysis, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced Degree.
Experience with Xilinx Zynq SoC FPGA family.
Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., SPI, I2C, Ethernet) and interfaces (e.g., PCIe, DDR).
Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast-paced environment.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
