Our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) group is excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Power Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware and Infrastructure (HW&I) Engineering team. In this role, you will be part of a team dedicated to supporting the next generation of Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems, while also providing support for existing fielded systems. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in power electronic circuits, who is comfortable working with both commercial off-the-shelf and custom hardware designs to meet system requirements. This position requires a blend of classic design techniques, modern power electronics knowledge, and hands-on laboratory skills.

What YOU will do:

  • You will work 3 days onsite per week, along with every other Friday off under our 9/80 work schedule.

  • You will lead design activities and ensure that hardware development aligns seamlessly with project requirements.

  • You will spearhead the design and development of advanced power system hardware, demonstrating your creative expertise and technical proficiency.

  • You will conduct thorough lab testing, validating engineering change proposals and ensuring solution integrity through comprehensive verification test plans and reports.

  • You will collaborate with diverse disciplines, fostering a synergistic environment that drives innovation and efficiency in product development.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in designing, evaluating, and testing power supplies to drive innovation and excellence in our projects.

  • Must have experience collaborating with diverse engineering disciplines, supply chain partners, and customers to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

  • Must have experience ensuring clear and organized technical documentation on Configuration Control, Change Management, Trade Studies, and Preliminary and Detailed Design artifacts and presentations.

  • Must have experience diving into PCB/PWB design, crafting efficient and reliable electrical circuits.

  • Education - Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required - Only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Linux and Solaris operating systems.

  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience.
