The Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Technology Studies at the University of Alabama invites applications for an Associate/Full Professor of Higher Education Administration, with a specific interest/focus in student development/student affairs. The Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Technology Studies houses a flourishing Higher Education Administration program that offers both the Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Education, as well as an on-campus and online Master of Arts, and a College Teaching Certificate. A successful candidate will join eight active research and teaching faculty as well as a vibrant student community.

Responsibilities

· Pursuing a rigorous and innovative line of research

· Supervising masters and doctoral students

· Working with doctoral students on research activities

· Pursuing external funding

· Chairing and serving on dissertation committees

· Providing leadership and partnership improvements in, and connections with, student affairs offices across campus

· Providing service to the department, college, university and profession

· Designing and teaching graduate-level courses delivered in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats

· Assisting in administration of the program

The position start date is August 16, 2025.

Minimum Qualifications
· Doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration, or a closely related field

· Demonstrated knowledge of student development theories and student affairs principles and applications

· Demonstrated record of scholarship

· Demonstrated record of excellence in both online and face-to-face teaching at the postsecondary level

· Demonstrated ability to secure external funding to support research or strong potential to do so

· Demonstrated record of successfully mentoring and advising graduate students
