The opportunity
 
EY GDS Poland is offering an exciting opportunity within our Finance Consulting Practice. We are seeking a Senior Finance Consultant with expertise in BlackLine implementations projects. In this role, you will support our external clients in streamlining the month end close activities leveraging available BlackLine solutions. You will work on client projects within various environments, improving business processes and functions through advanced data analysis. Your responsibilities will also include developing and implementing new IT-based solutions in the area of data analytics and financial management systems. You will work closely with clients to assess their needs, execute plans, and provide ongoing support to ensure successful outcomes.
 
Your key responsibilities
 
•    Finance and Reporting: Support clients with services in Fast Close Process Management, assist with challenges in month end close operations, and lead BlackLine deployment projects.
•    Accounting Standards: Assess the impact of different standards (HGB, IFRS, US GAAP) on complex accounting issues, with a focus on leveraging BlackLine capabilities to comply with identified implementation use cases.
•    Digitalization of financial processes: Work in teams that combine accounting expertise with IT and process competence deploying and optimizing BlackLine for automated financial management.

To qualify for the role, you must have
 
•    Ability to understand complex R2R areas and knowledge on the Design principles to adopt BlackLine in line with business requirements.
•    Excellent presentation skills, experience in leading client workshops and advising on the best options for implementation path.
•    Proficiency in BlackLine application including setup, configuration, and customization.
•    Strong understanding Month End Close activities from End 2 End standpoint.
•    Experience with BlackLine data integration with various ERPs (SAP / MS Dynamics / Oracle).
•    Ability to provide accounting advice and guidance on various process transition-related topics.
 
Ideally, you’ll also have
 
•    Knowledge of the following solutions: reporting (PowerBI), ERP (SAP, Dynamics), SQL and integration features
•    Translate business requirements to technical language and model.
•    Good experience in Chart of accounts (CoA) design.
•    Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
•    Managing/supervising teams of people on project work.
•    Open to travel (Domestic & International).
•    Master degree in Finance and Accounting or any other related
•    5+ years of total consulting experience
•    2+ years’ experience in Business Process Transition and Business Finance Transformation
•    Relevant certifications in BlackLine are highly beneficial.
