University Physicians Association is seeking qualified applicants for a Medical Assistant Floater position for a specialty medical office located in Knoxville, TN. The position is full-time, Monday – Friday and offers a competitive benefit package including Paid Time Off and Sick Time.
Candidates must be detail-oriented and patient focused. Applicants must be familiar with medical terminology, EMR documentation, providing patient education, writing orders as directed, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
Job duties include but are not limited to, assisting physicians with patient care, rooming patients, obtaining accurate histories and vital signs, scheduling tests or surgical procedures as needed, prior authorizations, communicating test results, and various other tasks as directed. This position also requires the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with all team members including physicians, patients and their families while conveying a positive image of the practice.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate.

Requirements6-months to 1-year previous medical experience preferred.
