This position will be located onsite in Melbourne, FL.
Accomplish
You will contribute in the analysis, research, design, manufacture, and testing associated with aircraft Support Equipment.
Essential Functions:
Mechanical design of test, measurement, and handling equipment used on military aircraft.
Gathering of data, requirements development, interfacing with suppliers, and performing basic stress and tolerance analysis
Acting as manufacturing liaison during build process of your project to ensure overall quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved
Development of test plans and performing environmental testing of Support Equipment
Testing and integration of manufactured Support Equipment on aircraft
Extensive experience in design, drafting, and stress analysis of mechanical systems is required. Drafting skills should include strong knowledge of solid modeling software, (NX, Pro Engineer, or Catia), or CAD based computer drafting software.
You should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must also be willing to travel to various site locations to demonstrate the function of the designed equipment.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor's in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 12 years related engineering experience OR Masters degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 10 years related experience engineering OR a PhD in STEM with 8 years of related engineering experience
Demonstrated experience in proposal and estimating
Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of IPT/Program Management processes (CAM processes, project planning and scheduling, cost control, change control, EVMS, coordination and oversight of technical work effort and risk and opportunity management)
Proficient using CAD software in generating detailed engineering drawings used for manufacturing of mechanical and/or electrical assemblies
Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of IPT/Program Management processes (CAM processes, project planning and scheduling, cost control, change control, EVMS, coordination and oversight of technical work effort and risk and opportunity management)
Current, active in-scope DoD Secret or higher security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience and a proven record of leading engineering teams in developing and testing Support Equipment that meet quality, performance, cost, and schedule requirements
Demonstrated hands-on experience in requirements management inclusive of development, derivation, validation and verification of requirements
Experience working on both classified and unclassified Military programs
Experience leading a large department in a matrix environment
