What does an Warehouse Receiving Supervisor do?

• Manage all receiving operations, including unloading and sorting of deliveries
• Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed
• Knowledge and understanding of critical control points for food handling
• Temperature, Color, Texture, Odor & Packaging
• Knowledge and understanding of proper handling of chemicals and MSDS paperwork
• Supervise and train receiving staff
• Monitor the accuracy of all receiving records, including inventory and stock levels
• Work with A/P on receiving discrepancies
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
• Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies
• Monitor and control operational costs
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize process
• Additional duties required by Supply Chain Leadership

 

To be successful as an Warehouse Receiving Supervisor, you'll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred
• Relevant experience in receiving and inventory management
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
