About the role:

We're seeking a Senior Staff Platform Engineer (m/f/d) whose primar responsibility is to ensure the flawless development of a robust and scalable integrated identity system. As part of this role, you will tackle performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and potential points of failure. Your key objectives will include optimizing both software and systems, all the while offering guidance and mentorship to our engineering team. A significant aspect of your role will revolve around enhancing the operational efficiency of the Platform team to achieve superior performance. Furthermore, your extensive expertise in Platforms and Cloud technologies will play a pivotal role in guiding multiple teams. You will also play a crucial role in supervising the creation and enhancement of tools for monitoring system health, security, efficiency, and scalability. This position is located in Berlin and will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

• Ensuring the sustainable expansion of systems through mechanisms such as automation. 
• Providing leadership and mentorship to engineers to ensure the successful delivery of a scalable and resilient holistic identity system.

You will be a great match if you bring:   

• Ten or more years of pertinent experience for the role. 
• Proficiency in crafting and implementing infrastructure as code solutions to streamline and efficiently manage cloud resources. 
• Demonstrated expertise in incident management, showcasing your ability to promptly and effectively address critical incidents. 
• Strong background and knowledge in serverless computing platforms and architectures.
• A profound grasp of technical architecture principles.
• Extensive proficiency with AWS, though familiarity with other cloud providers is welcomed, comprehensive AWS knowledge is essential. 
• Confident competence in release engineering and/or configuration management. 
• Proficiency in programming with Typescript and Go, which are integral to some of our services.
• A track record of successfully architecting and deploying high-load Distributed Systems and Microservices. 
• Experience in developing DevOps pipelines using GitLab CI.
