Position Summary:
As a versatile and experienced technologist in our team, you will bring a rich background in:
- Developing solutions using a variety of tools and technologies, with a keen ability to stay abreast of evolving technical trends.
- Working comprehensively across different layers of the technology stack.
- Expertise in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, encompassing both architecture and configuration.
- A deep understanding of secure cloud system design, defense-in-depth strategies, and cyber risk mitigation.
- A flexible approach to technology, applying the most suitable technology for effective problem-solving.
- Efficiently managing multiple work streams and setting priorities to align with project demands.
- Efficiently perform sysadmin duties across Windows Server environments.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of seven years in a systems administration or DevOps position.
- At least three years of hands-on experience in managing Windows server environments.
- Five or more years of proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, Bash, Ruby, or similar.
- A solid background of five years in either AWS or Azure, accompanied by at least one year of experience in the other platform.
Experience in any of the following areas will be highly regarded, as they represent the core technologies and tools we frequently utilize and deploy:
- DevSecOps Tools: Proficiency in Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitOps, Azure DevOps, Chef, Terraform.
- Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure.
- Operating Systems: Experience with Windows Server and Linux.
- Database Platforms: Experience with Relational RDBMS (e.g., MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and NOSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Hadoop).
- Monitoring and Logging: Experience using tools like Prometheus, CheckMK, Nagios, Grafana, Splunk, and DataDog.
- Networking: Understanding of VLANs, Subnets, Load balancing, Network OSI, Network File Sharing Protocols, and VPN Technologies.
- Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, AWS CLI, Azure CLI/PowerShell.
Technologies of Interest:
We also find the following technologies intriguing and increasingly relevant to our future roadmap. Experience in these areas will be considered a significant plus:
- IAC/PAC Cloud-Native Tooling: Serverless, EKS, AKS, Terraform Sentinel.
- Cloud Native Tooling: Experience with Amazon (RDS, Aurora) and Azure (Azure Managed Instances, Azure SQL Database).
- Security Tooling and Authorization: Knowledge of Okta IDP, SAML, SSO, Authentication/Authorization Technologies, AV/IDS/IPS, XDR/EDR.
