Department Overview

Gas Distribution Engineering ensures the safe, reliable, and affordable operation of the gas distribution system, including over 45,000 miles of main and 3.7 million services. The organization is comprised of the Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP), Gas Distribution Engineering, and Corrosion Engineering and Services. The Gas Distribution Engineering team also supports the Distribution Mains & Services Asset Family Owner (AFO) in the leadership and execution of the Asset Management Plan.

 

Position Summary

This position provides program management, strategic planning, and work effectiveness for PG&E’s Gas Distribution Engineering Department.

 

•             Manage and support key programmatic work across all teams and strategic initiatives related to Gas Distribution Engineering teams

•             Leading and supporting the organization to roadmap and prioritize department needs, and monitor and track progress against strategic goals

•             Lead and implement process & efficiency changes within the Gas Distribution Engineering

 

Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need.

 

There is preference for the incumbent to be based out of the San Ramon, Sacramento (Florin-Perkins or West Sacramento RMC), or Rocklin offices.

Limited travel is expected; <5% travel time in work schedule.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job.  The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum:$140,000

Bay Area Maximum:$238,000

 

OR

 

California Minimum:$133,000

California Maximum: $226,000

 

This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
