The TDM Business Partner (manager) owns/co-owns the relationship with 2-3 service lines in the Consulting Line of Business, responsible to identify learning needs and prioritize solutions that can scale. This includes working closely with key stakeholders in the business and subject matter experts in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the business’ learning curriculum. Primary responsibilities include conducting needs assessments, designing learning curriculums, and working with subject matter experts to develop content - all of which include education, experiences, exposure and environment.

The manager will also work on special projects related to new initiatives as well as firm initiatives that support the firm, talent, and TDM strategies.

This position will work closely with the broader TDM team to ensure firm needs are addressed consistently; leverages instructional design and technological solutions appropriately. Coordination with various departments and other resources within the organization is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Provides critical leverage in advising, developing, planning, executing and evaluating the practice and program curriculum to support strategy. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serves as a strategic partner to the business, leading conversations on strategy and needs identification. Brings the right team members into the conversation at the right time.

  • Acts as the first point of contact for the business, understanding the full scope of need across all service lines and identifying opportunities for scaling work.

  • Identifies learning needs and advises on solutions that align with strategy.

  • Ensures communication to the business is timely, clear, and consistent. Asks questions and feels comfortable not having all of the answers but committed to figuring it out.

  • Seeks ways to improve processes and become a more agile partner to the business.

Manages individual and group talent solutions aimed at closing gaps in performance and supporting talent and owner pipelines, including:

  • Understands business needs and partners with TDM team to design solutions that maximize value to the learner and Consulting.

  • Makes recommendations on individual development programs to close gaps.

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders, Talent Business Advisors, other Talent team members to propose recommendations and deliver solutions.

Collaborates with TDM Leadership team, Talent Technology, Talent Operations, IT, and other functions to design talent lifecycle systems and digital solutions to enable agile and global delivery models. Regularly gathers input and feedback to improve existing systems.

Functions as a people leader to direct and/or indirect reports and holds team and colleagues accountable for delivering strong results through communicating performance expectations and providing feedback on performance, recognition, coaching, and development plans.

Remains current with best practices and trends within the organization and talent development disciplines through research, benchmarking and participation in relevant public accounting forums, and adopts new approaches as appropriate. Ensure alignment with firm objectives; measure effectiveness of initiatives; Reporting results to key RSM stakeholders

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree, required in related field of study, or equivalent work experience
