About You

We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as ourE-1 Functional Business Analyst Manager. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will drive successful outcomes for finance projects by leveraging Oracle JD Edwards E-1 financial systems expertise to identify business requirements and develop solutions, and – in collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders – implementing finance-related initiatives, processes, and best practices. This hands-on role is primarily concerned with developing financial systems, solutions, and end-user expertise, but the incumbent must be fully familiar with other E-1 functional modules and integrations

In addition, you will:

• To effectively gather and analyze finance-related business requirements by identifying improvement opportunities and recommending solutions that align with organizational goals and best practices, through collaborative stakeholder engagement and comprehensive documentation
• To design, develop, and implement finance-related solutions by ensuring successful configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support for enhanced system performance and user satisfaction, with consultant support as necessary
• To develop and maintain companywide project management alignment by building strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure clear communication, timely decision-making, and effective collaboration. Also, ensuring seamless alignment and collaboration among departments, and proactively mitigating risk for the successful delivery of finance-related initiatives
• To ensure optimal adoption and usage of new financial systems and processes by developing and delivering effective training materials and resources to end-users, while providing ongoing support, coaching, and guidance, including issue resolution, and best practice guidance
• To manage continuous improvement practices by staying updated on industry trends in finance, recommending process and system changes, and developing financial policies and procedures aligned with organizational objectives and compliances
• To ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accounting standards by maintaining accurate and timely financial systems and processes, preparing regulatory and financial reports, embracing audit processes, and implementing necessary corrective actions
• To execute change management strategies for successful adoption of financial processes by identifying and addressing potential resistance to change, and continuously monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of change initiatives, and implementing improvements as necessary

Requirements

You should have:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business admin, or related field (MBA preferred)
• 10+ years of experience as a functional business analyst in finance
• Strong knowledge of finance processes, systems, and best practices
• Experience with Oracle JD Edwards E-1 or similar ERP systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Certification in Oracle JD Edwards E-1 or related ERP solution
• 7+ years of managing and implementing enterprise systems, preferably Oracle JD Edwards E-1 or similar ERP solution
• 10+ years of deploying Oracle JD Edwards E-1 application across all business areas
• Well-organized, self-motivated problem-solver with attention to detail
• Effective in diverse environments, both as a supervisor and team player
• Excellence in project management, implementation, and reporting
• High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills
