Department Overview

Motorola Solutions is a world leader in the field of professional mobile communications systems with an impressive heritage of technological innovations and a global base of installed systems. The Upgrade operations team’s main business is the implementation and update of mission critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers. We also develop internal tools to automate business to simplify the overall process

Job Description

The Upgrade Operations team is looking for an individual to work with our Software Deployment team. This team supports the tools that are used to enable the UO team in performing system upgrades. As a software engineer, you will help develop new applications that will streamline project management and engineering processes within the Upgrade operations department.

• Maintenance of existing software tools

• Development of new software tools

Additional Qualified Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Familiar with coding concepts such as data structures and Algorithms

• Proficiency in Javascript, Python, Powershell

​Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as  Google cloud, AWS or Azure 
• Experience with Google apps script and google business suite
• Experience with Javascript frameworks such as Angular, React
• Experience with NoSQL or MySQL databases

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
