COMMISSION FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ACCREDITATION

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is in the Commission for Law Enforcement Accreditation section and works closely with the Florida Accreditation database to ensure data is current, accurate and updated in a timely manner.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Preparing agency packets and panel meeting materials;
  • Preparing presentations for Commission conferences for both CFA and FCAC;
  • Maintaining the Florida Accreditation database ensuring data is entered accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Handling all Commission and accreditation correspondence;
  • Ensuring agency records are current;
  • Tracking and fulfilling orders purchased through the Commission store;
  • Accounting for annual reports filed with each Commission;
  • Assisting with assembly of all training materials for training including registration, payment, manuals, hand-outs, certificates, name badges, and tent cards; and
  • Receiving deposits and ensuring they are deposited per policy.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of administrative principles and practices; 
  • Knowledge of office procedures and practices;
  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection;
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication;
  • Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to administrative functions such as accounting, personnel, purchasing or report writing;
  • Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports;
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; and
  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques;

BASE SALARY:

  • $17.33/hour

Salary for the position will be commensurate with experience and training.

Starting hourly salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. FDLE is a State of Florida Employer and offers a comprehensive OPS benefits package (ONLY available to OPS members who will be working 30 or more hours a week), including:
