Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience or training in hardware and software support within an educational or corporate network environment, including computer systems such as microcomputers, displays, storage media, printers, basic operating systems (e.g., DOS, Windows, WindowsXP), and networking components (e.g., interface cards, switches, cabling, hubs, and protocols). Additionally, at least one year of experience or training in website design and management, with familiarity in HTML, CSS, and content management tools such as Adobe Dreamweaver or similar platforms. Experience supporting a wide range of computer systems including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, iOS), business and educational software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace), and peripheral device configuration.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, peripheral devices, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Experience with network components such as interface cards, switches, hubs, and cabling according to industry standards.
- Experience with graphic editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop or equivalents.
- Experience using or supporting Synergy Student Information System is recommended.
- Experience providing end-user support both in person and remotely, including conducting training for individuals or groups during system implementations.
Certificates and Licensure Requirements
- Valid Arizona Driver's License; with good driving record
- IVP fingerprint clearance card through AZ Department of Public Safety
Summary
The IT Technician provides comprehensive technical support and services across the district, ensuring optimal performance and functionality of hardware, software, networking, and digital platforms. This role supports multiple sites and works with minimal supervision to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the district's technological infrastructure, including desktop support, peripheral devices, network systems, and digital communications (websites/social media).

Responsibilities and Requirements
- Provide desktop support for multiple platforms including Microsoft Windows, macOS, iOS, Chrome OS, and other district-standard systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, peripherals, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Perform imaging and configuration of computer systems and workstations for network connectivity.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Install, maintain, and repair electronic peripherals (e.g., Smart Boards, projectors, document cameras, phonic ears).
