Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is seeking full-time faculty members at any rank with a focus on lung transplantation. Appointees will have clinical responsibilities primarily at our Hyde Park campus as well as our network and affiliate sites. Clinical responsibilities will include both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in lung transplantation. Appointees will also have the opportunity to provide inpatient coverage on the pulmonary consult service or MICU. Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine, and 4) have training in lung transplantation.
