Description

SUMMARY

The Industrial Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to
include the install, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production and facility equipment in a safe
manner. This individual will help drive maintenance excellence for the entire facility, working to ensure the
overall effectiveness of the facility and equipment. 

Key Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Aid in the development and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment
• Read and interpret equipment manuals/schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Actively participate in process improvements initiatives
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Understand root cause of issues and develop long term fixes
• Communicate effectively with operations and the rest of the maintenance organization using established processes (i.e. maintenance tickets)
• Perform effectively in a team or individually to meet deadlines and site objectives
• Support training efforts of operations and maintenance teams
• Communicate with vendors effectively for supported equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• 2+ years bindery, and digital press or other relevant maintenance experience
• Must be very detailed oriented.
• Good comprehension and communication skills – including written and verbal with the ability to interpret and comply with written and verbal instructions.
• Possess mechanical and electrical aptitude including use of multimeter and mechanical tools
• Should be able to work as a team as well as independently to meet deadlines and timeframes.
• Must be dependable and have the ability to change work schedule on short notice

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

● Ability to stand and walk frequently.
● Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50lbs frequently..
● Ability to use hand and power tools
