Position Overview
As a Field Training Specialist, you’ll bring Dutch Bros’ training programs to life in the field. Working from established standards and strategies, you’ll translate training plans into practical resources, deliver engaging in-person and virtual learnings, and ensure leaders are equipped to train their crews on new products, processes, equipment, and Technology.
Your role ensures that the field is set up for success by keeping materials current, observing training in action, and sharing feedback that strengthens consistency across markets. This work is critical to scaling our growth while ensuring every shop and employee has the tools, knowledge, and confidence to deliver the Dutch Bros experience.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years equivalent experience, required
Experience with Dutch Bros training programs required
1 year of leadership experience required
MOB experience, preferred
Exceptional communication and organizational skills - written and verbal
Willingness to travel <10% of the time (including quarterly shop visits)
Location Requirement:
This role is located in Tempe, Arizona. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas:
Maintain Develop effective and efficient training for all Field positions:
Translate existing training strategies into field-ready materials (SOPs, decks, course outlines, online modules, facilitator guides, agendas).
Execute training strategies through in-person and virtual sessions, ensuring delivery is consistent with approved approaches.
Administer training certifications as directed, reinforcing established standards.
Collect feedback and recommend improvements as directed, ensuring all changes remain aligned with pre-defined training frameworks.
Ensure successful implementation of DB training content:
Observe field training through shop visits, often in collaboration with Optimization and Field Ops teams.
Share observed opportunities and recommendations with the Field Training Manager.
Maintain reporting structures that create visibility into both quantitative and qualitative training effectiveness.
Support alignment of HQ training decisions with the practices of leaders, trainers, and employees in the field.
Collaborate with HQ teams to ensure that all field training is in alignment with the latest Dutch Bros documentation and processes:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational procedures, noting and communicating where documentation or training updates are needed.
Act as a liaison between the field and HQ in cross-functional projects, ensuring field realities are represented.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the L&D team in the development of instructional materials.
Participate in documentation and change management meetings to ensure field training resources stay current and accurate.
Update training resources regularly to reflect operational changes and maintain alignment with business standards.
