Position Summary

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Platform Pod will deliver the design infrastructure solutions at TriumphX. They'll build, manage and improve the infrastructure systems at Triumph Financial across the enterprise Lines of Business providing services in support of the day-to-day operations, critical projects, and strategic growth of the business. The Platform Pod, Senior Infrastructure Engineer will be expected to continually interact with and support managers and users with varying technical backgrounds in a fast-paced work environment.  Responsibilities of the position will encompass the support and operation of all switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, physical and VMware virtual infrastructure, telephony, email, web/application/database servers, network attached storage devices (SANs) as well as public cloud servers and services. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for proactively identifying and correcting deficiencies and improving overall IT infrastructure performance and efficiency.

Here is the day-to-day of this job:

• Proactively gather information and utilize analytical and creative problem-solving skills, alongside standard processes and technologies, to create efficient, secure, and reliable solutions for the business

• Provide general and routine maintenance support including installation, patching, configuration, backups and updates

• Act as the subject matter expert for the entire technical ecosystem

• Create and maintain documents for procedures/processes and infrastructure architecture/topology diagrams

• Collaborate with team members and software vendors to design, implement, and test systems

• Accountable for use of services, handling of sensitive data, and resolving incidents and requests in compliance with FFIEC regulations

• Assist the company by continuing to follow FDIC regulations and remaining SOX compliant

• Researches and stays current with advances in technologies; recommends change and updates accordingly

• Identifies areas of improvement and proactively develops plans to improve infrastructure architecture

• ‪Manages production and pre-production technology systems in a hybrid cloud/datacenter environment

• Responsible for automating building systems and deploying applications

• Creates automation through modern scripting methods such as PowerShell, Python, VBS, etc.

• Designs, manages and supports Active Directory and related services

• Respond to tickets and all other issues in a timely manner according to response SLA

• Participates in a 24x7 on-call rotation

• Design and implement all infrastructure resources (network, server, storage, packaged applications)

• Tune and refine existing systems to reduce Help Desk workload by preventing tickets from recurring

• Work with vendors to quote and deliver performant and cost-efficient solutions

• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications to be successful in the position:

The successful candidate will possess business operations experience and skills, excellent leadership skills, superior analytical and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent work experience

• Technical certification in Microsoft, Cisco, and/or VMware

• 5+ years’ experience in an IT technical leadership role in either Systems Engineering or Network Engineering.

• Experience across Windows Desktop and Server, VMware and Microsoft 365 technologies

• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and routing and switching

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, domain consolidation, and Office 365 migrations a strong plus
