Job Summary

Raytheon Radar Systems Special Test Equipment group is seeking an intern to assist in the Design, Integration  and Sell off System Integration Laboratories. Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for Raytheon Radar Systems.  These activities are to be performed for both System Integration Labs (SIL) and factory production test systems.  The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects.

This position is an onsite role.

This position can be a Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:

  • (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship
  • (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship
  • (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship

What You Will Do:

In this role, you will support one or more of the following types of activities:

  • Responsibilities include supporting the test and evaluations of our products including but not limited to:
  • Support the planning, execution, and reporting for integration and verification tests for our systems
  • Develop detailed integration information sheets and/or verification information sheets
  • Support system or software regression testing, and associated data analysis
  • Perform data analysis for radar hardware, software and/or simulations using tools such as MATLAB
  • Troubleshooting issues and related data analyses, which includes advanced use of test equipment, in order to identify root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore year by the start of summer 2026
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
  • Understanding of radar signal and data processing
  • MATLAB knowledge and experience
  • Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
