We’re seeking a dedicated and professional Healthcare Security Officer to join our team in Mount Vernon, NY. In this critical role, you'll help protect patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring a calm, safe, and secure healthcare environment.

Position Details:

Pay: $18.75 per hour
Location: Mount Vernon, NY
Post Type: Healthcare Facility – overnight shifts, patient/visitor interaction, facility patrols

⚠️ This is not an entry-level position. At least 1 year of security experience is required.

What You’ll Do:

Patrol hospital grounds and monitor entry points

Ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors throughout the facility

Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency calls calmly and professionally

Enforce site policies and assist with visitor management

Write detailed reports and maintain accurate incident records

Support medical staff as needed during crisis or security-related situations

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of security experience (required)

Valid New York State Security Guard License (required)

Must comply with current COVID-19 vaccination mandates

Must be at least 18 years old

Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm in high-pressure or emergency situations

Must have reliable transportation to commute to Mount Vernon, NY

Comfortable working overnight and weekend shifts
