Physical Therapy Tech

Description

SUMMARY:

The Physical Therapy Tech will include assisting the Physical Therapists with clinic operations in all aspects of clinical duties and serves as a member of the clinic team. Duties include assisting physical therapists with tasks that are indirectly related to patient care, including performing administrative and clerical tasks, cleaning equipment, and preparing treatment areas.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Providing instruction and demonstration with regard to proper use of equipment
2. Assisting Physical Therapist with clinic operations
3. Assisting patients with light exercises during physical therapy sessions
4. Helping patients to move from room to room
5. Cleaning and preparing treatment areas and equipment before and after each session
6. Observes patients' progress for the Physical Therapist
7. Performing clerical tasks, such as answering phones and scheduling appointments
8. Handling the necessary paperwork, such as filling out insurance forms
9. Arranging supplies
10. Performing other related duties as assigned

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
3. Thorough understanding of injury treatment and prevention
