Job Description

Purpose.

The Demand Management Consultant role is accountable for providing governance and management of the IT Application demand pipeline and acts as the primary contact point for their organization to capture, structure, align and plan demand. This role will also match and align the demand with their IT organization’s supply functions’ capacity, including the Managed Service Providers. This role ensures consistent capturing and prioritization of demand, along with regular alignment and prioritization of demand with supply capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual planning cycle; structure, capture and estimate demand on an ongoing basis; map demand against agreed plan and resource base.
• Develop regular communication channels and forums to align on planned activities for all demand (Enhancements/Projects) with internal teams and/or external service providers.
• Develop , define and implement the overall IT demand management structure & processes in agreement with other IT teams as required.
• Capture new demand and ensure a consistent structure and high quality of demand scope and specification in order to have a consistent basis for estimation and implementation scheduling.
• Build an overall demand pipeline on both an annual and ongoing basis (mapped against annual plan).
• Provide comprehensive view of all forward demand and create demand reports at detailed and aggregate levels.
• Own the demand aspect of relationship management with internal and external delivery teams.
• Develop, implement, measure, review and improve KPIs for the overall demand management process.
