The Role

 

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for all production activities (housekeeping, vessel cleaning, vessel charging, product filling and packaging, and any activities which support material production).

Key responsibilities for this role include:

 

  • Perform a variety of production activities to support the customer demand. These activities support the flow of materials and provide the electronic tracking within the business system (SAP).
  • Perform physical and electronic inspection of materials for use in production.
  • Performs material processing and sampling.
  • Set up filtration for product polishing.
  • Set up filling equipment, prepare packages, and fill containers, package finished goods onto pallets.
  • Perform equipment cleaning.
  • Proper handling and managing hazardous waste.
  • Operate lift trucks and other vehicles safely to minimize any product and asset damage.
  • General housekeeping and 5S practices to maintain a clean and safe environment.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • High School degree or Equivalent with 0 – 5 years of manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Read, write and speak English. Ability to take direction and execute tasks accordingly.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferably.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to push or pull over 50 lbs. with equipment assistance.
  • Fork truck driving experience is preferred.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Good math skills
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
