The Opportunity:

We have an upcoming opportunity to support the United States Central Command’s Directorate of Intelligence (USCENTCOM J2) with strategic and tactical all-source intelligence analysis support. In this exciting opportunity you will conduct responsive, efficient, and reliable analysis and production to satisfy USCENTCOM’s primary lines of effort (LOEs). This will include analytical requirements focused on counterterrorism, counter insurgency, regional and transregional issues, energy, socio-cultural, and/or assisting with collection methodology. Help assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that help protect the Department of Defense (DoD) and advance USCENTCOM J2’s priorities in the Middle East.
Responsibilities:
- As a Special Security Technician, you will have the opportunity to safeguard access control to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) by providing security escort support for custodial and uncleared workers in USCENTCOM J2 Top Secret (TS)/SCI offices and facilities.
- This position supports shift work from: 0600-1400 (1st Shift) and 1400-2200 (2nd Shift) and averages 6 – 10 people per shift. This position may also be required to serve as an escort for uncleared workers as required. The hours for this requirement are Monday - Friday from 2200-0600 (third shift) and from 0600 on Saturday through 0600 on Monday.
- Identify and report on any facility system malfunctions or issues.
- Complete a Facility Inspection Checklist and submit a Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) inspection report email to leadership upon completion of every shift.
Qualifications:
Required:
- TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
- Relevant specialized training and Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience, or 14 years of experience in lieu of a degree Flexibility to support various work timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian government officials, managers, and co-workers.
Desired:
- Previous Special Security Technician escort experience at USCENTCOM or another SCIF.
