Sales Strategy Associate (Onsite - 5 days per week onsite in Irvine, CA)

Overview:

As a Strategy Associate at Weedmaps, you have a passion for delivering effective sales initiatives that drive results for our clients. In this role you will work directly with sales, operations and marketing teams to a) support your Sr. Analyst on executing sales opportunities b) fulfill sales requests for any potential churn by auditing accounts and building product strategy c) report on all sales initiatives and campaigns post 30 day execution d) identify and discover accounts that need a performance lift and provide recommendations on strategy through your discovery. In addition, you will be part of an evolving process as we leverage new tools & processes to execute on premium placements throughout the site. As such, this position requires a Strategy Associate accustomed to rapid paced changes, while still maintaining the highest level of customer service to the Sales team, our Clients, and Leadership. 

Reporting to the Manager of our Strategy Operations team, you will provide support as assigned, working collaboratively with the Ad Operations Team, Sales Team, Client Success, Engineering, Product, and Product Marketing fostering collaboration and alignment on the strategy, goal and execution of each initiative. 

The impact you'll make:

• Sales desk backup/tertiary for after hours, holidays, sick time, and vacation time off.
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve sales desk processes
• Conduct in depth discovery (regionally) to identify revenue impacting opportunities through pricing alignments, position cancellations, and basic/standard listing opportunities.
• Develop reports for increased visibility to leadership and management heads.
• Assist in building contests for the sales organization for monthly execution
• Assist in region splitting, planning, and auditing for region integrity and issues
• Building decks for our monthly sales presentations (bi-weekly cycles)
• Weekly reporting emails that align with sales initiatives (progress updates to leadership and managers)
• Scheduling and coordination of sales meetings, strategy meetings, and manager meetings
• Communicate offer/match emails that are behind or delayed, unblock when necessary
• Support the project management efforts for newly developed tools.
• Coordinate tasks and efforts across sales, marketing, and operations
• Submission of all report request to WM screens for regional boundary creation
• General support for your Sr. Strategy Analyst 

What you've accomplished:

• 3+ years working in a sales or operations related role
• Ability to zoom out and build scalable solutions
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience using digital advertising tools
• Experience working with cross functional teams
• Excels in a fast paced, highly time sensitive environment
• Strong planning, analytical and organizational skills

The base pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
