Production Planning Assistant

Job Summary

Primary focus is assisting the Production Planner to perform scheduling duties as necessary for plant ordering and operation.

Duties: 

• Preparation of schedules for all production runs
•  Entering in customer orders
•  Processing loadouts and BOL’s.
•  Support the production department, working within and understanding the production process, plant procedures, equipment capabilities and flow of goods within the facility.
• This role is at the plant located in Granite City – requires in person work – not a remote position

Education: 

• Post Secondary Education in Business/ Supply Chain Management preferred but not required

Qualifications:

• Experience in related fields such as Production Planning or equivalent experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience using SAP or other ERM programs
• SAP experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and be able to quickly adapt to schedule changes required to meet customer demands
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong computer skills
