Reporting to the Decision Science Manager, you will lead the development and maintenance of robust analytics pipelines, mentor junior team members, and ensure the availability and reliability of analytic-ready data for analysis, modeling, reporting, and decision-making purposes.
What you will be doing:
- Leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable analytics pipelines on Google Cloud Platform to support the needs of the Decision Science team and the North American market broadly.
- Collaborating closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders in the business functions to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data workflows.
- Implementing and enforcing best practices for data ingestion, storage, and transformation to ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency.
- Optimizing and tuning existing analytics pipelines for improved performance and efficiency.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting analytics pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions.
- Mentoring and guiding junior analytics engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to data engineering and cloud computing, and proactively introduce relevant innovations to the team.

What you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master's degree a plus.

Extensive experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL

Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL principles, and data warehousing concepts.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor team members.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
