Description
The Senior Strategic Analyst plays a crucial role in aligning technology initiatives with the overall business strategy of the organization and delivery roadmap(s) of the program being supported. Senior Strategy Analysts rely on data to solve everyday business problems, provide relevant insights to support informed decision making, identify business needs, and develop plans that address key challenges and help drive the direction of the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Analysis
· Evaluate current IT systems, processes, and practices to identify opportunities for improvement and alignment with organization’s goals.
· Conduct market research, SWOT analysis, trend analysis, business analysis, and more as needed.
Data-Driven Decision Making
· Propose creative solutions to leverage existing data sources (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, SharePoint) to provide executive-level insights).
· Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide insights that guide IT-related decisions.
· Analyze or establish performance metrics, cost-benefit analyses, risk assessments, and more as needed.
· Develop/refine effective OCIO-wide metrics and dashboards to provide executive insights and demonstrate value in the work the organization performs.
IT Portfolio Management and Oversight
· Oversee and support the implementation of strategic IT projects, ensuring that they complete on time, within budget, and in alignment with the organization’s priorities.
· Function as a liaison between IT teams and senior management; support Monthly Sprint Reviews (MSRs).
· Assess potential risks associated with IT projects and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
· Support the refinement/formalization of enterprise-wide risk management and reporting.
Enterprise Architecture and IT Governance
· Liaise between OCIO and OpDivs to improve governance-related communications (e.g., around the various project paths/thresholds and to help shepherd their projects through the governance process).
· Develop, refine, and reinforce “right-sized” IT Governance frameworks/processes that align with strategic goals of the organization, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
· Work closely with IT Governance Analyst to support consistent and timely delivery of highly visible governance outputs, initiatives, and processes.
· Work closely with Architects to help bridge business strategy and IT execution, ensuring IT initiatives drive the organization towards its strategic goals.
· Support innovation and continuous improvement; stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending new tools, systems, or processes that could improve the organizations IT capabilities.
Lead the development of architecture projects including technical architecture, business architecture, strategic planning, and business process design.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
· Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that IT initiatives are understood and supported at all levels of the organization.

Requirements
Required Education and Professional Skills
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
· 10 years + experience in strategic planning, problem-solving, and data analysis.
· Experience in strategic planning and change management for high visibility initiatives.
· Experience in project management and portfolio management.
· Experience developing program schedules and managing cross-functional teams.
· Ability to synthesis and convey complex details from technical SME and deliver at an executive level.
· Experience developing technical and architectural diagrams.
Preferred Education and Professional Skills
· Master’s Degree in related field.
· General knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, FEAF).
· Experience with ServiceNow SPM.
