2026 Summer Model Artist Internship
The Internship Experience
You will support the Model Studios team in the creative development of manufacturable aesthetics across the product development process, producing digital and physical assets used at critical intervals for production and marketing needs.
Work is performed with highly sensitive intellectual property and requires adherence to company policies and procedures to protect IP assets.
This role collaborates with cross‑functional partners and contributes to event support and sample room upkeep as needed.
What You'll Do as a Model Artist Intern:

Create fully rendered digital assets for development, including direct digital printing files, tech/spec packages, licensor samples, photo samples, and materials for marketing and promotional use.

Utilize traditional painting techniques (hand, masking, airbrush, sprayed lacquer‑based systems) to build physical samples such as licensor deco models, paint masters, photo models, and presentation models.

Communicate with cross‑functional team members to ensure aesthetic accuracy and component/content fidelity.

Support event teams and internal partners with setup/strike of product for Customer Previews and fan‑based events.

Assist with general maintenance of the sample room to ensure a clean, organized work environment; perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
-
1–2 years of experience relevant to model art or closely related disciplines.

Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in Illustration, Computer Animation, or Visual Effects (or a related art/design field).

Proficiency with Photoshop/Illustrator, ZBrush, KeyShot, and SolidWorks; ability to learn and adapt to additional programs quickly.

Ability to execute precise work on delicate objects; comfort using small power tools (drills, Dremels, sanding tools, saws).

Knowledge of color mixing and matching using the Pantone system; adherence to IP protection policies and procedures.

Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to collaborate with development partners to achieve high‑quality product aesthetics.
Nice to Have:

Experience with fine modelmaking techniques and freehand painting; precision finishing.

Familiarity with both digital and traditional techniques to interpret and deliver manufacturable aesthetics.

Prior involvement in supporting event preparations and handling product samples.
Compensation Range, Currency USD:
