Manager, Land Acquisition (East Region)

Summary: The Manager, Land Acquisition, will be responsible for helping in the identification and evaluation of suitable sites for utility-scale solar energy and battery storage projects and ultimately, securing those sites and working in collaboration with the development team to de-risk them. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build relationships with landowners, brokers, and local stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate transactions, renewable energy development, land surveys, and legal descriptions. Preference for candidates based in Durham or Richmond but will consider remote for the right candidate.

• Collaboration & Organization
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Only responsible for supervising internal and external land agents
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• 5+ years in land acquisition, real estate, or renewable energy development
• Experience negotiating complex land deals and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Environmental Studies, or related field
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
• Work is performed in an office environment and in the field.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, twist and lift up to 20 pounds.
