** Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Northern Colorado Services Division Home Delivered Meals for Older Adults Program (Meals on Wheels), supervising program volunteers, ensuring compliance with agency and funder regulations, and providing a quality delivery service for adults age 60+.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Coordinates the weekly delivery of Home Delivered meals to program participants, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures, including health, sanitation, and safety regulations.

· Plans menus and assists in the ordering and tracking of inventory of frozen meals for the home delivered meal program

· Conducts community outreach activities to reach intended audiences and meet program participation goals.

· Prepares and submits all requested monthly, quarterly, and annual units of service records with appropriate documentation.

· Prepares program reports, and service summaries needed by the program manager or Director.

· Ensures the development, approval, and distribution of nutrition education materials to home delivered meal clients.

· Monitors client satisfaction with delivered meals and service experience.

· Fosters and maintains meaningful communication, coordination, and relationships with other staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners including outside agencies, meal providers, and referral sources.

· Manages program volunteers including volunteer recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and recognition.

· Completes Home Delivered Meals client intake assessments and reassessments either by phone or in-home.

· Performs other duties needed to advance program operations, support other members of the team, and fulfill nutrition program goals.


Supervisory Responsibilities

· 15-25 Home Delivered Meals volunteers

· On occasion, may supervise program interns.


Outcomes

· Within the first 90 days, understand and proficiently use the ServTracker software and provide 3 recommendations for maximizing it’s use.

· Within the first 6 months conduct a feasibility study and provide recommendations for offering medically tailored meals.

· By the end of FY 26 increase program enrollment to over 200 clients per year.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. This job requires in-home visits; conditions in client homes vary. Adherence to agency policies regarding home visits is critical. Driving throughout Larimer County required to complete in-home client assessments or provide services.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

· Full-time, 40 hours with a 30-minute lunch.

· Some flexibility with hours and work-from-home options possible, as programmatic needs allow.

· Occasional evenings and weekends required for outreach events or home visits.
