As the Head of Operations for Stockbroking Services, you will be a linchpin in our brokerage division, responsible for overseeing daily operations, regulatory compliance, and customer money movements. This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on execution, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Operational Leadership:
Oversee daily operations, including trade execution, settlements, AML, and back-office functions.Continuously optimize operational workflows to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.
• Team Development and Leadership:
Assemble, mentor, and lead a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.Conduct performance evaluations and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
•  Risk and Compliance Management:
Develop and enforce comprehensive risk management and compliance strategies.Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to address any compliance-related issues.
• Technology and Infrastructure:
Collaborate with the IT department to maintain and upgrade trading platforms, settlement systems, and other technological infrastructure.Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline processes and reduce manual intervention.
• Client Relationship Management:
Work closely with Client Services to resolve client inquiries and operational issues.Maintain a high level of client satisfaction through efficient and accurate services.
• Financial Management:
Manage the budget for the operations department, including cost control and allocation of resources.Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Data-Driven Decision Making:
Generate insightful reports on operational metrics, trading volumes, and risk profiles.Present data-backed recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making.
• Business Continuity Planning:
Develop and maintain a robust business continuity plan to ensure uninterrupted operations in case of unforeseen events or disasters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degrees and industry certifications: Series 7 at the least; (Series 24, Series 63 and other FINRA licenses highly preferred).
• A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in stockbroking operations including risks and AML.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
