Role Description

We are looking for a Windows Platform Senior Systems Engineer who has extensive knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including both on-premises and cloud services. Responsibilities include engineering and operating Windows Server and Workstations, automating tasks, and patch and vulnerability management. Applicants should be familiar with networking, storage and virtualization technologies and have a thorough understanding of the M365 and O365 suite.

Role Objectives: Delivery

Possess comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including both on-premises and cloud services. Responsibilities encompass Windows Server and Workstation end-point management, which includes the build process, security patching, and vulnerability management, third-party software updates, configuration management, performance monitoring, and level 3 issue troubleshooting. Have a solid understanding of storage and virtualization technologies as well as the M365/O365 suite. Engage in the configuration of domain and security policies and task automation. Provide support for Windows Platform-related issues and escalations.

Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills. Able to use existing knowledge and experience to tackle new technologies and achieve successful outcomes. Works independently and collaborates well with architecture, engineering, vulnerability management, and security teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of documenting technical concepts.
 

Role Objectives: Expertise

This role requires comprehensive expertise in the Microsoft ecosystem, encompassing both on-premises and cloud services. Key responsibilities include:

• Management of Windows Server and Workstation endpoints, including build processes, security patching, and vulnerability management.
• Updating third-party software, configuration management, performance monitoring, and handling level 3 issue troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of M365 suite and O365 services.
• Knowledge of storage, network, and virtualization technologies.
• Configuration of domain and security policies, task automation, and support for Windows platform-related issues and escalations.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of these areas, ensuring efficient and effective system management and support.
 

Qualifications and Skills

• 5+ years of experience in an infrastructure/end-user support role.
• Windows Server Engineering, and Operations (Full Lifecycle) – Domain Controllers, Certificate Services, ADFS, Print Servers, RRAS/NPS Servers, Clustering Services, etc
• Hybrid Active Directory (On prem Domain integrated with EntraID):
• Domain Controller Lifecycle
• Active Directory Architecture and Operations
• Expert understanding of GPOs, OUs, Account Management, Polices, identity and access management, access provisioning, etc
