The Job You Will Perform:
We are seeking a Mechanical Reliability Engineer to support our PM1 and PM2 paper machines. A successful Reliability Engineer will be able to interact with a diverse group of people in all areas of the organization. The Reliability Engineer’s responsibility is to improve the reliability of our manufacturing operations. They are to eliminate production-limiting failures from our process and increase the life of our assets. A Reliability Engineer focuses on the overall process reliability of which equipment reliability is a major component. They must work hand-in-hand with maintenance and operations personnel while being able to communicate effectively with suppliers, sales engineers, and technology support. The Reliability Engineer will support the operating and maintenance leaders in the MWS process to improve the effectiveness. In crises, they must be able to provide good technical direction and pull together a corrective action plan quickly.
The Reliability Engineer will report to the Maintenance Reliability Manager and maintain a strong working relationship with the Area Maintenance Manager and Business Unit Manager.
- Equipment Reliability Strategies - Ensure strategies are accurate and up-to-date and that the PM Routes are effective.
- Predictive Maintenance - Ensure PdM Routes are accurate, effective, and that there is proper communication between the core team and technician.
- Preventative Maintenance - Ensure PM are accurate, effective, and that there is proper communication between the core team and technician.
- Lubrication program - Ensure Lube Routes are accurate, effective, and that there is proper communication between the core team and technician.
- RCFA Champion – Lead the use of RCFA for the area. Not necessarily lead all RCFAs, but ensure engagement of workforce, proper root cause(s) identification, and action item(s) completion.
- Chronic Problem Resolution - Mine data to identify chronic problems, lead discussions to assign owners, action items, due dates, and follow-ups to ensure chronic problems are ‘killed’.
- MWS – Support core team with Work Execution, ensure the Management of Change (MOC) process is followed properly, and ensure Annual Outage work is planned, scheduled, and executed with precision.
- QA/QC – Provide leadership and support to ensure all work is completed Safely, On Time, On Budget, and with No Reworks.
- Criticalities Assessment Owner - Lead Criticality Assessments for new equipment and keep current criticalities accurate.
