The Agency Broker Executive responds to inbound calls inquiring about commercial health plans, places outbound calls based on leads, and completes the sales of products and/or services. The Agency Broker Executive work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

The Agency Broker Executive arranges for field representative to visit prospects if sales are not closed. Responsible for managing the day-to-day selling and/or account management for Health and Life insurance Sales/Telesales. Accountable for achieving new sales and/or renewal goals for defined territory or book of accounts. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Active Health and Life Insurance licenses in the residing state (OR the willingness AND ability to obtain within 75 days of hire)
• Must live w/in 150 miles of Wilmington, N
• 2+ years of sales experience
• Must be willing to work any shift on any day during business operation hours (5am-10pm est), including nights and weekends, or any additional hours based on business needs. 
• Must be willing to travel for business needs
• Meet Humana's Connectivity policy in additional information

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Honorable Military Service
• Bilingual with the ability to speak, read, and write in both English and an additional language without limitations or assistance

• A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Any Humana associate who speaks with a member in a language other than English must take a language proficiency assessment, provided by an outside vendor, to ensure competency. Applicants will be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

 

$47,300 - $65,000 per year

 

This job is eligible for a commission incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
