Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Plate Technician is responsible for maintaining the plating line, black oxide and vibratory chemistry.

• Conduct daily analysis of bright and semi-bright nickel solution

• Monitory and adjust pH (acidity of water) levels in plating line

• Check temperature of the tanks

• Complete daily analysis and concentration of chrome, nickel and cleaners 

• Maintain chemical adds to the planting line

• Conduct weekly chemical inventory

• Conduct Aerospace nickel and chrome thickness testing daily

• Completes 24 hour waste water sampling process daily

• Check daily the vibe chemistry concentration

• Check daily the black oxide and strip chemistry concentration

• Document current plating process including measuring baths

• Other TCEQ and Trinity River Authority required actions

Requirements/ Qualifications:

• 1-2 chemistry degree or 1-2yrs of related skills/experience.

• Good analytical skills.

• Familiar with basic computer skills.

• Attention to detail.
