Centred out of LGC’s site in Kulmbach, Germany, Axolabs works closely with its customers to assist the identification and development of lead candidates with a broad suite of bioinformatics, biology, chemistry, manufacturing and analytical services that support discovery, pre-clinical and clinical trials and scale-up manufacture. Axolabs facility in Petaluma is focused on manufacturing scale-up and production to cGMP of multigram to kilograms of API for pre-clinical and clinical development. Our site in California has been involved in oligonucleotide synthesis for three decades and established the therapeutics activity in 2019. With around 70 staff and two manufacturing trains, Axolabs offers a flexible manufacturing service out of Petaluma that draws where necessary on our industry and chemical and analytical expertise in Kulmbach.
Job Description
Shift: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm ).
The Raw Materials QC Associate brings warehouse, logistics, inventory management, and planning experience to LGC and is open to both learning more and sharing knowledge with others.
- Inspection of incoming materials according to the established SOPs and Material Specifications.
- Sampling of materials in designated areas using appropriate equipment and proper techniques according to SOPs.
- Ability to understand to work independently in primary functions.
- Handling materials safely per material SDS.
- Ensuring containment of nonconforming material.
- Collaborating and consulting with quality assurance to resolve any issues or nonconformances in a timely manner.
- Perform inventory count periodically and as required per internal procedures.
- Track inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
- Maintain Material files/records.
- Other Duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of experience in related field.
- Incoming Quality control experience in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- General warehouse, logistics, shipping, inventory management, import/export, supply chain, distribution, planning experience highly valued.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-lead role.
- Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to easily multitask.
- Ability to adjust to changing daily routines or priorities as needed.
- Strengths in assessment and prioritization of daily tasks and goals.
- Working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system and processes.
- Analytics and problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $ 20.91/Hourly
Maximum: $ 35.00/Hourly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California -based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location.
