The Senior Manager Third Party Risk, will report to the AVP, TPRM. This role is a second line of defense function responsible for leading a team to provide effective reporting and analytics to help identify, communicate and mitigate risk. This is a unique opportunity to interact with all levels of management including executives within both Risk Management and the business. In addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and exciting environment where new and innovative ways of leveraging analytics to drive business insights for vendor risk.
The Senior Third Party Risk Management team, within the Operational Risk Management team is responsible for assisting businesses and Corporate offices with managing Third Party risk and performance, while ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements and TD BANK policies and guidelines.
The Senior Manager, Third Party Risk has these accountabilities:
Manages a team responsible for the development of standards and requirements supporting the onboarding processes of third parties.
Supports compliance to third party regulation within the geographies the TD operates
Provides thought leadership related to TPRM activities and program improvements that can be Third party onboarding processes and owns the strategy and roadmap to achieve the desired target state for those items
Provides thought leadership related to enhancing third party risk manage ment processes
Stays current with emerging third party risk trends and regulation
Has oversight of the effective execution against specific program requirements, and has accountability to identify themes driving non compliance
Establishes testing and oversight model of the first line to support compliance to TPRM program requirements
Collaborates with Vendor Management to ensure clear understanding of TPRM's essential partnership in mitigating third party risk
Plays a key role in responding to regulatory requests related to third party risk assessment, performance monitoring and related reporting
Contributes to the strategic direction of the TPRM function by having industry, external and internal business awareness, recognizing and anticipating trends, identifying issues and opportunities, and recommending actions to Leadership
Builds and leverages internal and external relationships to support third party risk management
Contributes to the research, analysis, and production of regular and ad-hoc reports produced by TPRM
Manages, coaches and mentors direct report, Manager(s) level TPRM team members
Promotes a positive work environment that encourages proactivity, productivity, innovation, creativity, teamwork, quality analysis and consulting
