Senior VFX Artist

Metrea Simulations is looking for a Senior VFX Artist to come join our teams in creating art content for the ultimate in high fidelity combat simulation. We strive to push the boundaries of what's possible in simulation and you will work closely together with our artists, programmers and domain experts (e.g. fighter pilots) in doing so. <h3>What we offer:</h3> <ul> <li>Remote friendly work environment</li><li>Ability to move into different areas of the project</li><li>A long-term commitment to a single, large product</li><li>Flexible working hours</li></ul> <h3>Responsibilities include:</h3> <ul> <li>Creating performant realtime effects</li><li>Creating highly realistic effects found in realistic military themed simulators (explosions, muzzle flashes, smoke trails, tracers and more)</li><li>Creating effects driven by simulations (heat, environment, etc.)</li><li>Enhancing the look and feel of our products through realtime effects.</li><li>Using Niagara FX in Unreal Engine to craft all effects</li><li>Working with engineers and programmers to drive and trigger effects</li></ul> <h3>Skills and Requirements:</h3> <ul> <li>Exceptional real-time effects skillset and portfolio</li><li>Great knowledge of creating a wide variety of realistic effects</li><li>Passion for pushing the state of the art in asset fidelity and production techniques</li><li>A high sense of self-motivation and initiative</li><li>Be proactive and work without direct supervision</li></ul> <h3>Pluses/Nice to have:</h3> <ul> <li>Avid &amp; passionate gamer</li><li>Passion for anything aerospace related</li><li>A love for military themed games and simulations</li><li>Experience with Unreal Engine</li><li>Experience from the video game industry</li><li>Experience working with international teams</li><li>Additional language skills (e.g. Swedish, Polish, German)</li></ul>About UsMetrea Simulations redefines the cutting edge of flight simulation and services.
