Senior Software Engineer-Payments team

<p>Toast is driven by building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: building the businesses they love.</p> <p>We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Payments Pricing team as we scale our platform to meet our customer’s future needs with innovative products and flexible pricing options. As an integrated payment processor, Toast processes millions of dollars daily, and ensures that money moves accurately and promptly to a restaurant’s bank account.</p> <p>Our system is a set of Kotlin/Java Dropwizard services deployed to AWS, interacting with hundreds of thousands of Android tablets using modern payment hardware, as well as with partners through our API.</p> <p><strong>About this <em>roll</em>* (Responsibilities) </strong></p> <ul> <li>Have full ownership of a key component in our payment processing system</li> <li>Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly resilient and scalable systems that are critical to our customers’ success</li> <li>Identify any scaling issues, and implement solutions</li> <li>Diagnose performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations</li> <li>Investigate and solve payment processing issues to improve the customer experience</li> <li>Analyze data and understand the trends   <br/><br/></li> </ul> <p><strong>Do you have the right <em>ingredients*</em>?
