DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will provide electrical maintenance support through organized and timely scheduled and unscheduled maintenance within the highly automated HSM environment to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert.
The Basics:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and understand electrical/electronic components/inverters.
- Basics of digital technology, programmable logic controllers (PLC)
- Ability to work with electrical measurement.
- Knowledge of AC motors, drives, sensors, and actuators
- Knowledge of switchgears
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanical drawings as well as P&ID’s
- Computer skills to include knowledge of network technology, Microsoft Office, and SAP
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
The Extras:
- Internship or Associate’s Degree
- 3 years electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting
- Experience in the steel industry
- Experience and knowledge of Steel Mill Processes, power distribution systems, motors, variable frequency drives, automation systems, measurement systems, instrumentation equipment, and hydraulic systems
