Arconic is currently in search of Quality Technician to join our Kawneer team based in Visalia. The starting pay for this position is $22.06 per hour.

Job Summary: The Quality Technician executes quality program designed to ensure quality assurance and quality control of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the duties listed below.
In this role, you will:
- Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
- Able to read work order and follow oral and written instructions.
- Able to identify material by part number and product finish.
- Maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Inspects, tests, and evaluates material and finished products to assure quality.
- Collects material disposition records from shop floor.
- Validates material distribution records for accuracy by physically inspecting referenced material and damage.
- Inputs details from source material distribution records into the JDE program.
- Maintains and updates various databases with details on defective material.
- Conducts tollgate inspections according to work instructions.
- Maintains the calibration database for all departments.
- Performs quality reviews of documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality and company quality records.
- Reviews all data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
- Communicates to quality department any significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
- Trains workers in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Maintains a working knowledge of company quality codes and standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- One to six years related work experience is preferred.
- Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as, operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondents.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors.
- Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with and respond to problems in standard work situations.
- Ability to obtain electric pallet jack certification, mobile equipment license, fork lift and overhead crane operator license, is preferred.
- Basic computer skills required. JDE and MS access preferred.
- Able to measure to 1/32 of an inch.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Able to repetitively lift up to 40 pounds or 1/3 of your body weight.
- Able to work 12 hour days.
- Able to wear required PPE.
- Able to bend and twist repetitively.
