School Support Officer - Classroom (30 hours per fortnight)

A temporary part time position commencing 19 August 2025 until 19 December 2025.

This position exists to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. This classroom-based position requires you to work collaboratively with diverse learning teachers, providing assistance in all areas of student learning and management.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

The preferred applicant demonstrates the following criteria:

• A commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
• Ability to support children’s individual learning in the classroom.
• Understanding of and ability to work with students with diverse needs.
• Ability to interact positively with students.
• Technical competence in appropriate technologies.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

• Previous experience in similar settings.
• Experience with the PB4L framework.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

• Well developed written and oral communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate III in Classroom Support or equivalent
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as a child related work and therefore a working with children clearance is required prior to your commencement with us.
