As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist - Insider Risk at Medtronic, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding our critical data and infrastructure from insider threats. Your daily responsibilities will include reviewing and analyzing logs from various sources, such as DLP systems and email logs, to detect any signs of data exfiltration or misuse. You'll leverage your analytical skills to identify patterns and anomalies that could signal insider risk. Collaboration is key, as you'll partner closely with internal business units, HR, and Legal, acting as a trusted advisor to help them identify, detect, prevent, and remediate data exfiltration incidents, and refine their strategies for mitigating insider risks. Additionally, you'll collaborate with Medtronic's Digital Forensics and Data Collections teams to conduct complex investigations, using your analytical skills to proactively address potential threats before they escalate.
Beyond monitoring and detection, you'll engage with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and a comprehensive understanding of insider threat detection objectives. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences will be crucial in delivering clear, actionable insights. Working alongside engineering teams, you'll develop advanced detection solutions and utilize threat modeling and analysis to strengthen our defenses. You'll also employ Snowflake for real-time and historical analysis, focusing on identifying patterns of data exfiltration to address and manage data exfiltration incidents effectively. In this role, you'll continuously evaluate and enhance our monitoring systems, ensuring they remain robust and adaptive to evolving threat tactics. Your proactive approach and curiosity will drive continual improvements, helping Medtronic stay ahead in insider risk management.
